When our students and schools thrive, we all succeed.
“The Pittsford Education Foundation recognizes the significant need of additional mental health supports as urgent and important. We are incredibly grateful to be a part of such a caring and generous community and hope you will consider a donation that will support the mental health of our students and enable them to have what they need to be their best at school.”

Who we are
The Pittsford Education Foundation (PEF) is volunteer-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that directly supports students, educators and families in our community. Since 1992, PEF has invested $1 million in initiatives focused on ensuring equitable student experiences, faculty support resources, and innovations through capital and facility-based projects
Why is PEF needed
Rising education costs outpace the district's budget, constrained by state aid and legislation. At the same time, students' needs have evolved, requiring more personalized, authentic experiences and preparedness to succeed in their academic and professional journeys. Adequate resources and technology are crucial to meet these demands.
PEF Mission
The Pittsford Education Foundation is dedicated to catalyzing the full potential of all PCSD students by providing access to essential resources, support and innovations that drive educational excellence.
Our Pillars
Ensuring equitable opportunities
Advancing educational excellence
Providing support during hardships
How we work
Pittsford Education Foundation has a direct impact on the students served by the Pittsford Central School District by providing the district with critical funding for crucial district initiatives. The Foundation partners with district leadership to identify top educational priorities and subsequently invests in initiatives focused on ensuring equitable student experiences, staff support efforts, and capital/facility-based projects. The Pittsford Education Foundation has an ambitious goal for optimizing learning by providing increased access to innovative technology. It is a plan that extends beyond the traditional learning environment and includes a collaboration between the District and Foundation that seeks to integrate programs and initiatives in learning environments that are fluid, dynamic, and relevant. Support from the state through the Smart School Bonds Act and the District’s general budget has already had a positive impact on the goal; however, reaching the goal requires a philanthropic investment from our community.
